Terms of sale

These terms apply when you place an order with Mukluk Wood Stoves Pty Ltd ("Mukluk", "we", "us"). Plain language first; legal precision where it matters. Completing checkout means you agree to these terms.

1. The order

Your order is for a hand-built wood stove described on the product page (the Mukluk Small). The website shows specifications and pricing in Australian dollars, including GST.

An order is formed when you complete checkout and payment is accepted. We may decline an order (for example if a price was clearly wrong) and we will refund you in full if we do.

2. Pricing & payment

• Full payment is taken at checkout via Stripe (card or Afterpay) or bank transfer.
• Pickup & freight: list prices are for pickup from our Ballarat workshop. Delivery is not included. If you need your stove shipped, email us for a freight quote — we only arrange delivery after you have agreed the cost. See Pickup & refunds.
• All prices include GST. We will send you a tax invoice once your order is confirmed.

3. Lead time

Stoves are made to order. Current lead time is 2-4 weeks from payment to ready for collection. If your stove looks like it will take longer than expected, we will contact you as early as we reasonably can to let you know.

We email build updates as your order progresses, on the general approach described in Pickup & refunds. Once your stove is ready, you collect it from our workshop or we ship on separately agreed terms.

5. Use, installation & safety

Mukluk stoves are solid-fuel appliances. They must be installed by a licensed solid-fuel installer in accordance with AS/NZS 2918 (or equivalent). You are responsible for hearth, flue, clearances, heat shielding, smoke alarms and any council, body corporate or insurer approvals.

The Mukluk Wood Stove is untested and uncertified, making it currently suitable only for movable accommodation where no permit is required. It is not clean air approved, though this is not usually a requirement for movable accommodation or rural installations.

You must not use the stove for any purpose other than burning seasoned, untreated firewood.

6. Limitation of liability

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any other rights you have that cannot be excluded, our total liability for any loss arising from your purchase is limited, at our choice, to repairing or replacing the stove, or refunding what you paid for it.

7. Privacy

Your personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
