Is the Mukluk tested or certified?
The Mukluk Wood Stove is untested and uncertified, making it currently suitable only for movable accommodation where no permit is required. It is not clean air approved, though this is not usually a requirement for movable accommodation or rural installations.
Does the price include a flue?
No. Just the stove itself. The Small takes standard 5″ (125 mm) flue pipe, the same stuff you'll find on hardware and stove sites online. Your installer can source it, or you can buy the sections yourself.
How long does it take?
Stoves are made to order. Current lead time is 2-4 weeks from order to ready for pickup. We email you when your build starts and again when it is ready to collect.
How do I collect my stove?
Orders are pickup from our Ballarat workshop. Once your stove is ready we email you a pickup window. If you cannot collect, email us — we can quote freight case by case.
Can you ship my stove?
We are pickup-only from Ballarat by default. If you need delivery, email us for a freight quote and we will arrange it separately.
How heavy is it?
About 56 kg. Plan the install and the lift accordingly.
How do I maintain the finish?
Keeping the stove polish finish up is easy, if you see any brown colour starting to form just rub on a bit of stove polish. A coat of stove polish once a year or so keeps it looking good!
